Remembering Josie Romero

We are saddened by the loss of our long-time board member and advocate, Josie Romero. She became a Citizen Advocate in 1996 and joined Grand Island Citizen Advocacy's Board of Directors soon thereafter. Additionally, Josie served on the statewide Disability Rights Nebraska Citizen Advocacy committee. She safeguarded the principles and practices of Citizen Advocacy and was an example to us all. We will miss her dearly.

Although small in stature, Josie’s passion and dedication to vulnerable people and defense of the Citizen Advocacy Principles and Practices was strong, unwavering and mighty....
